Hello!
When I was a kid I refused to take naps, so my preschool teachers taught me to read instead. A lifelong learner, my favorite stories transport me to another place where there are no bounds to the imagination. I have a deep, enduring love for travel, other cultures, fairy tales, and food.
For three years in college, I was a writing advisor for academic and creative papers. This involved reviewing my peers’ work, as well as coaching them to improve their writing skills overall. After college, I spent the summer at Denver Publishing Institute, learning about the different facets of the publishing industry.
I view the editing process as a dialogue. I like to partner with authors to help propel your work forward through characterization, worldbuilding, plot, pacing, and more. I also work on proofreading and copy editing, focusing more closely on details like grammar, word choice, and punctuation, to make sure your work is clean and polished.
Am I the utmost authority on all these things? Absolutely not. But my focus will be to coach you, guide you, and walk with you down that road. I’ll probably learn along the way as well.
